Cartes de Chartreuse

MUSEE DE LA GRANDE CHARTREUSE
SAINT-PIERRE-DE-CHARTREUSE, FRANCE

Visual identity, materials and signage for an event celebrating the 20-year restoration of 79 “Cartes”, architectural paintings rich with Carthusian and French history.

Hosted at the Museum of la Grande Chartreuse and attended by numerous donors, local leaders and art historians, the event called for a sober yet elegant design that honors the Carthusian monks’ tradition of simplicity.

The design is inspired by the 800-year-old Carthusian symbol and highlights the variety of landscapes, colors and details found in the paintings.
